The Department of Economics extends its congratulations to the graduating class of 2025 for their outstanding academic achievements. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have culminated in this significant milestone.

The department’s ceremonial sessions, held as part of the 2025 Congregation, took place on 23rd of November. The proceedings commenced with an opening address delivered by Professor Kai Lung Hui, Acting Dean of the School of Business and Management. Professor Wooyoung Lim, Head of Economics, formally presented the graduates during the ceremony.

Ms. Victoria Lam, recipient of the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance, represented the graduating cohort and delivered the valedictory address. In her remarks, Victoria reflected that her experience at HKUST is more than just the curriculum. “We learned to tackle complex problems, to think critically, and to never stop being curious about the world around us. We are leaving here not just with a degree, but with a toolkit to build a better future.”
