The Department hosted the Economics reception at the Econometric Society World Congress on August 19, 2025, which attracted over 160 scholars, fostering vibrant discussions and networking among leading minds in economics. Set against the backdrop of one of Asia’s most dynamic cities, Seoul, the reception offered a warm and engaging atmosphere for academic exchange and collaboration. 

The Congress takes place once every five years, drawing up top economists from around the world. It features keynote speeches, panel discussions, and presentations on cutting-edge economic research.
