The Department proudly hosted the Economics Graduation Dinner for the graduating Class of 2025 at a prestigious hotel located in West Kowloon on May 9th, 2025. The event brought together over 130 faculty members and students from the BBA ECON, BSc ECOF, BSc MAEC, MSc, and MPhil in Economics programs, offering them a special opportunity to celebrate their academic achievements and express gratitude to their professors.
The evening commenced with a welcome speech by student representatives, followed by an opening remark by Prof. David Cook, Acting Department Head of Economics, setting the tone for a night of reflection and camaraderie. During the delightful dinner, attendees participated in a lucky draw, where 12 fortunate winners received exclusive souvenirs. The excitement continued as students engaged in a spirited trivia quiz competition, testing their knowledge of economics and university history in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere.
Adding to the energy of the evening, our student took the stage to lead a lively interactive game, engaging attendees in a fun-filled activity. The atmosphere further elevated when our students performed three popular songs, encouraging the audience to sing along and revel in the moment together.
The Department is honored to have provided this meaningful occasion for students to connect, celebrate, and bid farewell to their academic journey. As they embark on new endeavors, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their future success.
