It was great to see many prospective students and their families and friends in person at the Economics program consultation booths and the Economics program session on the HKUST Information Day held on 14 October 2023.

We thank all our students from the BBA Econ, ECOF, and MAEC programs who worked at the consultation booths. They have been speaking non-stop, introducing our programs, and sharing their personal experiences with our guests all day.

The program session, hosted by Prof. Kam Wing Siu of the Economics department, was a full house. Using real-life examples, Prof. Siu explained how economic theories can be used to understand and explain human behavior, and how our programs prepare students for further study and careers in economics and beyond.
