On November 26, 2020, Professor Edwin Lai presented a lecture titled Fudan Financial Online Public Lecture #54: “One Currency, Two Markets: China’s Attempt to Internationalize the Renminbi”. The English lecture was based on his book of the same title. The book is scheduled to be published by Cambridge University Press in May 2021. In this lecture, Prof. Lai explained in depth the benefits of Renminbi internationalization to China and to the world, and shared his views on the prospects of Renminbi internationalization and more. This event was simulcasted on 11 digital platforms and reportedly attracted more than 370 thousand viewers to watch the live broadcast on Sina and Baidu alone.
