This event has passed. Thank you for joining us. Recap:
According to Yujie and Eugene, students who are considering pursuing post-graduate degrees overseas should:
- Have fundamental understandings on the strength, ranking, and geographical location of schools.
- Plan early and take courses that are useful for applying for the post-graduate degree.
- Check English proficiency and other exam (e.g. GRE/GMAT) requirements of the post-graduate program; Visa requirement for entering the country.
- Make sure the strength of a school and research interest of faculty members in the school align with your own interest.
- It may be easier to seek internship opportunities if the school is located within a major city.
- Your professors will need to know more about you before they can write a meaningful reference letter for you. It is important to establish connection and build a strong relationship with your professors before asking them to do so.
