Prof. Jinwoo Kim elected as a Fellow of the Econometric Society

Professor Jinwoo Kim has been elected as a Fellow of the Econometric Society, one of the highest distinctions in the field of economics.

Professor Kim’s research lies in microeconomic theory, with a focus on mechanism and market design. His work has been published in leading journals including EconometricaReview of Economic StudiesAmerican Economic ReviewJournal of Economic Theory, and Games and Economic Behavior.

The Econometric Society, founded in 1930, is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics. Fellowship in the Society is awarded to scholars who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of economics. Since 1931, only 1,254 scholars have been elected Fellows, including the 25 new Fellows in the most recent class. To date, 86 Econometric Society Fellows have won the Nobel Prize in Economics, and 28 of them have also served as President of the Society.

This recognition highlights Professor Kim’s contributions to the field and his continuing impact on the global economics research community.
