We were thrilled to connect with many prospective students, along with their families and friends, at the Economics program consultation booths and information session during HKUST’s Information Day on November 1, 2025.

Student ambassadors from the BBA in Economics (ECON), BSc in Economics and Finance (ECOF), and BSc in Mathematics and Economics (MAEC) programs warmly welcomed visitors at the booths. They provided insightful overviews of their respective programs and shared personal experiences of academic life at HKUST.

The Economics program information session, hosted by Professor Kam Wing Siu, drew a full house. In addition to outlining the key features of the programs, Professor Siu illustrated how economic theories can be applied to everyday situations, offering engaging examples of how human behavior is shaped by economic principles.
