Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence 2025
13 May 2026

The Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence recognizes faculty who demonstrate outstanding teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Established in 2000 through the Larry and Mei Kwong Franklin Endowment Fund, the prize highlights the important contributions faculty make to student learning and development.
Alongside this, the Department Award, which recognizes the department's overall achievements over the 2025 academic year, goes to the Department of Economics.
Prof. Yuk Fai Fong and Prof. Deyu Rao of the Department are named finalists for the individual teaching award.
The award plaques were presented on May 11 by the Dean of the Business School, Prof. Frederik Anseel, to this year’s awardees.
Prof. Yuk Fai Fong, fifth from the left, and Prof. Deyu Rao, third from the right, are named finalists for the individual teaching award.
